Crochet
This pouch was lovingly handmade by Wayuu indigenous women. Their creativity, expertise and learning abilities are reflected in the quality of their handicrafts. A high-quality bag is characterized by a tight weave and is created using three techniques: vertical weaving, "atulush" knotting and crocheting. With this project, Mama Tierra offers financial independence to indigenous women in La Guajira, an area between Colombia and Venezuela.

Leather
The leather was a leftover piece that was saved from the waste.

Swiss Design
Dr. Lourdes Grollimund designed this piece. Lourdes researches western trends, seasonal color styles and motifs in a benchmarking analysis. This results in irresistible, high quality accessories.

Empowering indigenous women
Mama Tierra offers pre-payments and working material to indigenous women, thereby strengthening their financial independence. The focus is on women because they ensure the well-being of the family, securing its income and educating the children.
