Crochet!
Using the crochet technique, indigenous women in Colombia have lovingly handcrafted this resistant toiletry bag, stitch by stitch. The quality of the handicraft is a sign of their intelligence, skill and learning ability.
Inspired by indigenous culture
The Wayuu people are organized into clans based on matrilineal consanguineal kinship. Totemic animals emblematically represent some of the Uliana clans. Coral Hernandez drew inspiration from the fascinating culture of Wayuu indigenous people to create this masterpiece.
