Designed by Dr. Lourdes Grollimund
Dr. Lourdes Grollimund designed this piece. Lourdes researches the western tendencies, seasonal color styles and motifs in a benchmarking analysis. This results in irresistible, high quality accessories.
Made in Venezuela
In the 1970s, the Venezuelan tapestry was popular. From the Fira de Barcelona to the MoMa Museum in New York, the Wayuu crafts could be admired in museums all over the world. The indigenous people wind the yarn on a so-called weaver's shuttle and push the thread through the fabric. This time-consuming technique went out of fashion and many artisans could not sell their art anymore. Mama Tierra has worked together with the artisans in order to create beautiful clutches with the same technique of the antique wall tapestries. The new products undoubtedly meet the current Zeitgeist.
Material: Polyacrylic yarn 100% produced by the factory Miratex in Colombia. Azo dye-free, Iso-Standard 9001: 2000.
