From the Mediterranean to the Caribbean

Collaboration with Anna Peter Breton

Mama Tierra celebrates the summer with the spirit of Mediterranean destinations through a collaboration with the renown French-Hungarian artist Anna Peter Breton. Fine watercolorist, Anna expresses her particular vision of landscapes and the human encounters that cross her path in her works. Anna generously gifted Mama Tierra three of her works published in her books “Voyages” and Voyage Amoureux en Italie.

Anna’s work inspires us! Because you can feel the sea breeze and the sunrays on your face just by looking at her works. Since Mama Tierra’s clutches are made by the master Wayuu indigenous people living in the Caribbean coast, they are perfect to reflect the warm colors of Anna’s pieces. The artisans from Venezuela make a superb rendition of Anna’s delicate watercolors. They must pay great attention to details as Anna’s watercolors are very intricate to be made as tapestries.

The three exclusive handmade tapestry clutches are made with organic cotton and show scenes of Capri, the Amalfi Coast and Saint-Tropez, adding the perfect accessory to any look.

We are proud to see that the Zeffirelli Clutch, depicting the place where Zeffirelli used to summer, caught the eye of the people at Elle France magazine and was picked as one of the 50 pleasures for this summer.
