The Pajaritos Design
"Pajaritos" or little birds, play an important role in indigenous people’s myths. For example, the Wayuu believe that the earth was ruled by birds before humans appeared on the planet. Even today, birds like the eagle represent the Ipuana Wayuu clan. Several birds stand for mythical ancestors, or totem animals, who emblematically represent different family groups.
