The Tribal Design
The Catholic missionaries taught the Wayuu indigenous people how to crochet. Their traditional designs are based on animal tracks, food sources or star constellations. Dreams are also great sources of inspiration for the creations, because according to the Wayuu culture, the indigenous people communicate with the deceased in their dreams.
