Rendering Tribute to Frida Kahlo
Frida paid tribute to her Tehuana roots through an iconic look: her indigenous clothing, braids and flower crowns. Through this, the Mexican revolutionary made highly political statements on cultural identity and racial inequality in the 1940s. This cultural legacy is preserved by the Frida Kahlo Corporation today. The Frida Kahlo Corporation, owner of the worldwide trademark rights to the Frida Kahlo name, supports Mama Tierra with licensing rights.
