Inspired in the Wayuu clans
Socially, the Wayuu people are organized in clans based on matrilineal consanguineal kinship. These clans are represented by totemic animals, who are considered to be a common ancestor of all clan members. For some families in the Uliana clan, jaguars represent this ancestor. Based on the oral tradition of the Wayuu indigenous, family members inherit the qualities of their totem animal. In this case, solidarity, kindness and intelligence are qualities inherited directly from the jaguar.
