The new tote light by Mama Tierra is handmade by Wayuu indigenous women in Colombia. Made of GOTS certified organic cotton. Instead of the single stitch used in the traditional bucket bags and our tote bags, the tote light bag is made using the double stitch. This makes the bag lighter but not less resistant. Use it as a trusty companion to go shopping, to a yoga class or on vacations. Combine it with our Rainbow bag to make a winner duo.
The Rainbow Design
Rainbows represent hope, relief, elation, the beauty after the storm. Others believe there is a pot of gold and good fortune at a rainbow's end. Without a doubt, a rainbow brings positivity into our lives.

Human rights activists founded Mama Tierra in 2015 to promote gender equality for indigenous women in Colombia and Venezuela while protecting Mother Earth. Thus, Mama Tierra's accessories empower not only those who wear them, but especially those who make them.
